Good evening, CES Parents! I just wanted to inform you that tomorrow, 08/31, our CES faculty and staff will be leading our students in one of our safety drills. The safety drill that we will be focused on is our LOCKDOWN drill. This is a drill that we practice to insure that our staff and students know what to do if there ever were an actual threat to our campus. Access to our front office will be interrupted during our drill as all staff and students will be participating in the drill. Good evening, Cub Nation! Just a reminder... CES will have our annual Title I Meeting and Parent Orientation on Tuesday, August 23. The Title 1 meeting will be held in the CES Cafeteria beginning at 5:00 PM. Our parent orientation sessions will take place on the grade level hallways. These sessions will allow teachers to cover classroom/grade level procedures and expectations. Each grade level will present two sessions to accommodate parents with multiple children attending the elementary school. Session 1 will take place at 5:30 PM and Session 2 will take place at 6:15 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
CES Morning Procedures/Schedule 7:15 AM - Student Drop-Off/ Breakfast Service Opens - Students will gather in the cafeteria until 7:30 AM. 7:30 AM - Students released from the cafeteria to their classrooms as they finish breakfast. Teachers will be at their classroom doors to welcome students. 7:45 AM - Car Drop-Off Line Closes/Breakfast Service Closes/ Instructional Day Begins/Morning Announcements. Students arriving after 7:45 Am will need to pull around to the front main entrance to enter the building. 7:50 AM - Tardy Bell - Students arriving after 7:50 AM will need to sign in through the front office before going to their classrooms. CES Dismissal Procedures 3:30 PM - CES Dismissal - Students are released according to their dismissal mode (Bus Transport/Parent Car Pick-up Line / Shufflers to CMS or CHS/ Walkers) Parents picking up in the car pick-up line must have their signs posted in their vehicle. Parents picking up shufflers from CMS or CHS must also have their sign visible for CES faculty/staff to see before releasing students. Students not picked up by 3:50 PM will be transported back to the CES front office from which they can be picked up by a parent/guardian, or designee.
Good afternoon, Cub Nation! Welcome back to school today! Just a reminder... to help make our first day dismissal run as smoothly as possible, please make sure you have your sign posted in your vehicle as you come through the parent pick-up line. Please keep your sign posted until after picking up your student(s). If your student(s) is shuffling to CMS/CHS you will also need to be holding your sign so that we know that all students are getting picked up and released the appropriate individuals. These efforts will helps us ensure that all of our CES students get released and picked up appropriately and safely.
