How can I keep up with my student?

There are several programs available for parents to keep up with what their students are doing. This includes TalkingPoints, Ascender Parent Portal, our new app and website, as well as social media. Our website will allow you to change the language to Spanish and will translate many of the items for you automatically. We are also using the StopIt app for anonymous reporting of incidents at school.

TalkingPoints

TalkingPoints is our new parent communication app, which is replacing Remind. It is similar to Remind in that teachers and principals will use it to communicate day-to-day information, except that it will automatically translate messages to and from the school. It is very important that your home language is set correctly during registration. TalkingPoints sends you text messages unless you choose to load the app. You have the option to opt out of the text messages when you receive the initial message.

Ascender Parent Portal allows you to keep up with your child’s grades in their classes. It will allow you to set alerts so that you receive an email if your child receives a grade below the level you choose, or if your child is absent.

Thrillshare

Thrillshare is also connected to the contact information from the Parent Portal and will be used to communicate with you about school emergencies, absences and lunch balances via telephone, text, and email. Please be sure that your contact information is up to date in Parent Portal so that you don't miss out on important messages.

At the bottom of each campus website is a link to the social media for that site. Clifton ISD, Clifton High School, Clifton Middle School, Clifton Elementary School, and Clifton ISD Athletics all have social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram where you can see posts that are shared from the website.
