Clifton ISD Registration August 1st - 3rd and Meet the Teacher August 10th

Clifton ISD will host registration for ALL students grades PreK-12 in the CHS Cafeteria from August 1st -3rd and Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 10th.

Registration Information (See All Events)

  • Tuesday, August 1st: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
  • Wednesday, August 2nd:  8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 3rd: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Parent or Legal Guardian must be present to enroll.

Per the Texas Education Agency and the US Department of Education, every child in Texas has the right to a free public education. A child may attend school in the school district in which they live or enroll in other options, such as charter schools. 

  • To enroll your child in school, you will need to locate a school, provide residency documentation, and get your child all state required immunizations or provide a valid exemption from the immunization requirements. 
New Student Registration Information
  • New Students to Clifton ISD:
    • Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
    • Social Security Card
    • Immunization Record
    • Parent/Guardian Identification
    • Proof of Residency current within 45 days (utilities bill, lease agreement, etc...)
    • Prekindergarten Eligibility 
      • Many Texas children are eligible to attend free prekindergarten classes. Prekindergarten eligibility and enrollment information and answers to frequently asked questions are available on TEA's prekindergarten website.
        • To be eligible for enrollment in a free prekindergarten class, a child must be at least four years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:
          • unable to speak and comprehend the English language
          • is educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the national school lunch program... guidelines about NSLP eligibility can be found in sections 4 and 6 of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Administrators Reference Manual)
          • is homeless, as defined by 42 USC, §11434a, regardless of the residence of the child, of either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child
          • is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority
          • is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
          • is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Family Code §262.201 or has been in foster care in another state or territory, but currently lives in Texas
          • is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:

Returning Student Enrollment Information


  • Returning Students to Clifton ISD 
    • Parent/Guardian Identification
    • All returning students who have had a recent change of address, should submit an updated proof of residency
    • To ease the enrollment process, please make sure you know your login and password of your CISD Parent Portal
    • Please note, that campuses may request additional documentation in order to complete enrollment.




Additional Parent Resources

  • Nutritional breakfasts and lunches are available to students, often at low or no cost. Find out more about the child nutrition programs (outside source), overseen by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
  • The Texas Project First (outside source) provides resources for parents of students served by the special education program.   Additional resources are available for those who care for children in foster care. Additionally, answers to frequently asked questions for those assisting homeless and displaced students are available.
  • Resources are also available for migrant students enrolled in Texas public schools.
  • A Texas Department of State Health Services website provides a list of immunization requirements (outside source) children must have to enroll in school. Children can be exempted from immunizations under certain circumstances.
