Clifton Elementary School is excited to announce our "Spring Open House" to take place on Tuesday, February 22nd, 4:30-6:30 PM. It is sure to be a JURASSIC event! The week prior to our open house , CES students will be participating in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) focused lessons to prepare them for the culminating event of touring a paleontological museum within the walls of our own school building! That's right! Over our three-day weekend just before the 22nd, our school will be transformed into a dinosaur museum! On the 22nd, students will tour the museum during their specials rotations to view artifacts and models presented by "Dinosaur George" and his traveling museum. On the evening of February 22nd, we will host our "Spring Open House" to allow our elementary parents and members of the community to enjoy this special exhibit along with our students.
“Dinosaur George” Blasing is a self taught paleontologist and animal behaviorist with more than 40 years of study and research. Blasing is a public speaker, author, and television host and writer who has performed live to over 4 million people and has lectured in over 4000 museums, schools and public events. He is the writer, co-creator and host of JURASSIC FIGHT CLUB on the History Channel.
Dinosaur George has spent over 25 years teaching Elementary, Intermediate and Middle school students about the amazing creatures that once ruled our planet. He has volunteered his time to make hundreds of appearances in children’s hospitals, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA’s and Boys and Girls Scouting events. With the addition of his traveling museum, he is now able to bring an entire museum to the schools he visits.
