Texas Assessment graphic in English and Spanish reminding families to log in to the district parent portal beginning June 10 for end-of-course results and June 16 for grades 3–8 STAAR results.

As summer break continues, Clifton Elementary families will soon be able to access their child's state assessment results through the Texas Assessment Family Portal. The portal provides valuable information about student learning, academic strengths and opportunities for continued growth.

If this is your first time using the Family Portal, don't worry. The portal is designed to help families better understand their child's learning by providing assessment results, information about academic strengths and resources to support learning at home.

State assessments are just one measure of student progress. Teachers use assessment results along with classroom performance, grades and other information to help support each student's continued growth.

What Can Families Learn from the Family Portal?

The Texas Assessment Family Portal provides much more than a score report.

For available STAAR assessments, families can view released test questions, the correct answers, explanations for the correct answers and their child's responses.

The portal also highlights student strengths, identifies skills that may need additional support and provides resources families can use at home to reinforce learning.

For students who participated in TELPAS or TELPAS Alternate, families can review information about their child's progress in developing English language proficiency over time.

Information for Grade 3 Families

Families of Grade 3 students are encouraged to carefully review their Reading Language Arts (RLA) results when they become available.

Some Grade 3 students may need additional support in reading as they continue developing foundational literacy skills. Families of students who do not meet the passing standard on the Grade 3 Reading Language Arts assessment may be eligible for accelerated instruction and additional tutoring support through the state's Parent Access to Supplemental Supports (PASS) program.

Under House Bill 2 (HB 2), eligible families may apply for up to $400 in state-funded tutoring support beginning in fall 2026. These funds may be used with approved in-person tutoring providers, virtual tutoring services and eligible Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designated teachers.

Clifton Elementary staff will work closely with families to review results, discuss next steps and help connect eligible students with available support services.
