1.  Roll Call, Establishment of Quorum, Call to Order

2. Open Forum/Public Comments

  • Nobody signed up to speak.

3.  Staff Recognition

  • #TeamCES 4th  grade teacher Shandy Burrow was recognized for being voted Best Teacher in the 2022 Best of Bosque County presented by the Clifton Record and Meridian Tribune.

4.  Consent Agenda

  • Minutes of Prior Month Meeting
  • Budget Amendment
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the consent agenda.

5.  Report of Board Member's Continuing Education hours are required by 19 TAC 61.1

  • #TeamCISD Board President Alex Montes read the Report reflecting the continuing education hours for each #TeamCISD Board member.

6.  Discussion and consideration of TASB Risk Management Fund Interlocal Participation       Agreement

  • #TeamCISD Superintendent Andy Ball explained that TASB had updated their Interlocal Participation Agreement (IPA).
  • TASB Risk Management Fund provides insurance coverage for Clifton ISD.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the new IPA.

7.  Discussion and consideration of agreement with Interquest Canines for Drug Dog services for 2022-2023.

  • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball reported the annual contract for drug dog services is up for renewal. Ball stated Clifton ISD has used Interquest Canines for those services since 2004 and recommended continuing to use them.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.

8.  Discussion and consideration of Chromebook purchase

  • #TeamCISD Technology Director Barbi Ernst discussed the RFP quotes that had been received for the purchase of new Chromebooks and recommended accepting the quote from Dell.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.

9.  Discussion and consideration of Firewall replacement

  • #TeamCISD Technology Director Barbi Ernst discussed the RFP quotes that had been received for the replacement of the district’s current firewall and recommended accepting the quote from TFE.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.

      • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball provided information to #TeamCISD Board members regarding the Summer Leadership Institute hosted by TASB.

12.  Discussion and consideration of contract for Athletic Director/Head Football Coach

  • On the recommendation of the #TeamCISD Leadership Team, #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended offering a contract beginning April 12, 2022, to Brent Finney to fill the open Athletic Director/Head Football Coach position. 
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation. 

13.  Discussion and consideration of contract for Middle School Principal

  • On the recommendation of the #TeamCISD Leadership Team, #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended offering a contract for the 2022-23 school year to Brian Bartlett to fill the open Middle School Principal position. 
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation. 

14.  Discussion and consideration of renewal of professional contracts

  • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended renewals for professional employees that had not been renewed at previous meetings.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.

15.  Discussion and consideration of Personnel

  • On the recommendation of #TeamCES Principal Wes Brown, #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended offering a contract for the 2022-23 school year to Mandy Florence to fill the open 4th grade position.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
  • On the recommendation of #TeamCISD Technology Director Barbi Ernst, #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended offering a contract for the 2022-23 school year to Mario Villalpando to fill the open high school Technology position.
  • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
