  • Consent Agenda
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the consent agenda, including official minutes from the January 10th TAPR Hearing and regular meeting. 
  • Discussion and consideration of Order of Election for May 2022 Trustee Election.
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved an Order of Election for an election to be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 for the purpose of electing School Board trustees. 
  • Discussion and consideration of PTO Bylaws.
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Andy Ball stated a draft of PTO Bylaws was included in members’ January meeting packets for review.
    • After discussion, the #TeamCISD Board approved the adoption of new PTO Bylaws to take effect immediately.
  • Review 2022-2023 Cheer Handbook
    • #TeamCHS Principal Jimmy Jackson and #TeamCMS Principal Michael Kusler discussed and explained changes to the Cheer Handbook.
  • Discussion on Collaborative Leadership Training
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball stated he and the #TeamCISD Leadership Team had attended leadership training with the Baylor School of Education. Ball proposed creating and developing a Collaborative Leadership model with training to include #TeamCISD Board members and the #TeamCISD Leadership Team.
    • Ball said the training would allow for Board members and the Leadership Team to work together to focus on student outcomes, as well as to gain a better understanding of each other’s perspectives, backgrounds and responsibilities through collaboration.
    • The first Collaborative Leadership training was set for March 9, 2022.

  • Discussion and consideration of contract extension for Campus Principals
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended contract extensions for #TeamCMS Principal Michael Kusler and #TeamCHS Principal Jimmy Jackson. Ball also recommended moving #TeamCES from a one-year contract to a two-year contract to be consistent with other administrator contract lengths. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendations. 
  • Discussion and consideration of contract extension for Athletic Director
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended a contract extension for #TeamCISD Athletic Director Chuck Caniford. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation. 
  • Discussion and consideration of contract extension for Curriculum Director
    •  #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended a contract extension for #TeamCISD Curriculum Director Tiffany Jones. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.

    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended a contract extension for #TeamCISD Technology Director Barbi Ernst. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
  • Discussion and consideration of contract extension for ESL Director
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended a contract extension for #TeamCISD ESL Director Viki Villarreal. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
  • Discussion and consideration of contract extension for Special Education Director
    • #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended a contract extension for #TeamCISD Special Education Director Karen Schasteen. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
  • Discussion and consideration of Personnel
    • On the recommendation of #TeamCHS Principal Jimmy Jackson, #TeamCISD Superintendent Ball recommended offering a contract to Zane Williams to fill the open high school History/Coach position for the 2022-23 school year. 
    • The #TeamCISD Board approved the recommendation.
