News Update

On Friday, August 15, 2025, the Texas Education Agency released the 2025 A-F Accountability Ratings for districts and campuses across the state. All three of the Clifton ISD campuses earned an overall rating of B, as did the district. This is the fourth year in a row Clifton ISD has earned a B under the state’s accountability system, which updated the accountability standards in 2023.

Along with a rating of B, each Clifton ISD campus earned at least one Distinction Designation, with Clifton Elementary leading the way by earning four. The Campus Distinction Designations are determined through a multitude of comparisons with 40 other campuses from across the state that the TEA has determined are similar to each of our campuses based on grade span, total students, economically disadvantaged students, EB students, mobility rate, Early College HS and Special Education students. Each of the district’s campuses has a different group of 40 they are compared to.

The success of the campuses resulted in an honor for the district as well as Clifton ISD was one of only 83 districts in the state, and one of only four in Region 12, to earn the District Postsecondary Readiness Distinction Designation. The District Postsecondary Readiness Distinction Designation is the only Distinction Designation a district can earn and is based solely on Postsecondary Readiness indicators measured at each campus.
