Primary Purpose:
Implement district school health program and provide direct services to meet the needs of the students and
staff under the direct clinical supervision of the school health coordinator or school nurse (RN).
High School diploma or GED
Valid Texas license (LVN) issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
Current cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificates
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic first aid
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use software to develop databases and do word processing
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
One-year experience in health-related position; experience working with school-age children preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Nursing Services
 Provide direct care using school health protocols and individualized health plans (IHPs)
established by the RN supervisor or medical adviser
 Administer medication to students according to board policy and district procedures.
 Carry out mandatory screening programs, collect data, and complete required reports as directed.
 Collaborate with campus principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, food service, and other
staff regarding the health needs of the general population and those students with identified health
conditions as directed by the supervising RN.
 Communicate with parents regarding individual students as directed by the school nurse (RN).     
 Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee (ARD) meeting of students with
identifiable health needs if the RN is unable and collaborate with appropriate staff and RN
regarding implementation of health-related Individual Education Plan (IEP) items.
 Distribute information to faculty or staff on health related topics as needed and as directed by the

 Provide guidance to unlicensed assistive personnel or other school staff on health related tasks as
directed by the RN.

 Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, including immunization records,
medication administration records, and individual student treatment records.
 Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required, including accurate,
confidential health records on all students.

 Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, Texas Department of Health rule,
State Board of Education rule, and board policy in health services area. Comply with all district
and campus routines and regulations.
 Maintain confidentiality.
 Maintain certification in CPR, vision and hearing screening, as a health screener.
 Model behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.

Position Description
Primary Purpose: Perform professional psychological work in assessment, behavior
management, and counseling for students with Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities,
Cognitive Disabilities, Autism, and behavioral problems. Assess the psychological and psycho-
educational needs of students referred to special education services.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Assessment: Select and administer assessments and observations to evaluate the intellectual,
emotional, and behavioral functioning of referred students and to determine student eligibility for
special education services according to federal and state regulations. Score and interpret test
data. Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans. Conduct or
participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist with appropriate
placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students according to district
procedures. Serve as case manager and implement the special education assessment process for
students on assigned campuses.

Primary Purpose:

Direct and manage the Clifton ISD band program for grades 6-12. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences and provide an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities. Plan activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition and ensure compliance with all state, UIL, and district requirements.



Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate certification in Music

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of overall operation of a band program

Knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band

Ability to manage budget and personnel

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Ability to attract and sustain band participation with students in grades 6-12

Ability to interpret data and evaluate student performances

Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

High energy, positive attitude, and team player


Experience as a head band director preferred, but not required.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Strategies

  • Direct instrumental performers, including marching band, concert band, soloists, and ensembles.
  • Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in band.
  • Provide for band participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and UIL contests.
  • Support band booster club activities.
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment.
  • Work with members of the staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods to ensure maximum student participation and retention in the band program.
  • Evaluate to determine program effectiveness and ensure that program renewal is continuous and responds to student needs.

Student Growth and Development

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
  • Be a positive role model for students and support mission of the school district.

Classroom Management and Organization

  • Create an environment conducive to learning.
  • Manage student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
  • Accompany and supervise students on out-of-town trips and activities and arrange transportation, lodging, and meals for out-of-town events, as needed.
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.


  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.

Budget and Inventory

  • Develop and administer budget based on documented program needs and ensure that operations are cost effective and funds are managed wisely.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities and manage funds.
  • Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets related to the program.
  • Oversee cleaning, repairing, and storing of all instruments and equipment.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.

Professional Growth and Development

  • Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, UIL rules, and board policy in the band area.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of assistant band director.

Primary Purpose:

Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location.
