Guidelines for #TeamCISD Students Suffering from Fever or Illness

Parents and guardians,
During this flu season, and in an attempt to help keep students and staff as healthy as possible, we would we like to share our illness policy with you:
  • Students are sent home if their temperature reaches 100.0 degrees or higher.
  • Students may return when fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
  • Students sent home with vomiting or diarrhea may return when symptom free for 24 hours without the use of anti-emetic or anti-diarrhea medications.
  • Students with a doctor's note may return to school on the date approved by the doctor and written on the note. If a student returns earlier than the date on the doctor's note, parents will be contacted to pick the student up.
Please make sure your child's campus office has updated contact information in case your child becomes ill and you need to be contacted. Questions, comments or concerns? Please contact your child's campus, CISD Nurse, Becky Henderson, 254-675-1875 or or CISD Superintendent, Andy Ball, 254-675-2827 or Thanks. AB
