The proposed A-F rating system for Texas public schools uses a variety of data sources to assign letter grades to campuses and districts in various "domains". One such domain is Domain IV, Post-Secondary Readiness. At the elementary and middle school levels, the attendance rate will have a significant impact on the rating the campus receives.
Clifton ISD respectfully requests that parents who are vacationing during the school year withdraw their children from school if the child will be absent more than three school days due to family travel. Parents may re-enroll their children upon their return to school. School absences do not accumulate during the time a student is withdrawn from school.
We appreciate your support in understanding the impact and importance of student attendance.
